Pricing & Sliding Scale
To make therapy accessible to as many people as possible, I invite you to actively consider your financial contribution with honesty and awareness. It’s natural to focus on what feels scarce, but I encourage you to also recognize the privileges and resources—both big and small—that you may have access to.
Here’s how the sliding scale works:
Reflect on which of the three tiers best aligns with your financial reality.
Choose a specific dollar amount within that tier rather than just selecting the tier.
Share your chosen amount with me.
That’s it! I understand this process may feel unfamiliar, but my hope is that it fosters a thoughtful and empowering approach to financial accessibility. If you believe you fall into the lowest tier but are struggling with the suggested rates, please reach out—I’m happy to explore options with you.
-
Tier One
I provide care for children or other dependents.
I carry substantial debt.
I qualify for public assistance.
I face expenses related to immigration.
I am an elder with limited financial assistance.
I am a returning citizen who has faced employment rejections due to past incarceration.
I encounter discrimination in hiring or wage rates.
I am a descendant of enslaved individuals or Native American Indigenous communities.
I do not have medical insurance and do not expect to be reimbursed even partially for my sessions.
Some scholarships are available for individuals at this level, please inquire with me directly!
-
Tier Two
I am single or share expenses with roommates and/or do not have dependents.
I am capable of managing my student loan payments, either currently in repayment or having paid them off.
I receive health insurance and/or other benefits from my employer.
I possess reliable transportation for daily use or access public transportation and care shares with relative ease.
I can afford to miss work due to illness or leisure activities and still cover next month's expenses, or my job has paid time off.
I am able to travel when necessary, particularly for unexpected events such as family emergencies or funerals.
I expect to receive at least partial reimbursement for my session costs through medical insurance.
-
Tier Three
I am a homeowner.
I reside in a dual-income household and split expenses.
I possess investments, retirement funds, or inherited wealth.
I travel for leisure.
I have access to family wealth and support during times of necessity.
I choose to work part-time or am voluntarily unemployed, which may include being unemployed due to full-time schooling in pursuit of a degree.
I enjoy a relatively high earning potential attributed to my education (or privilege based on gender, race, class background, etc.).
I will be fully reimbursed for my sessions, someone else is paying for them, or the cost is not a burden to my household.
Relationship - $175
I do select work with couples, partnerships, and polycules. At this time, relationship sessions are not available on a sliding scale. I prioritize working with queer, kinky, and/or non-monogamous relationships. Grief can be one of the issues you’re working on together, but is not required. Experience the ease of working with someone you don’t have to explain non-monogamy 101 to!
Other options
I know that even my reduced rates may still be out of reach for some—and that’s not a reflection of your worth or commitment to healing.
I warmly recommend exploring Open Path Collective, which connects individuals with therapists offering affordable sessions (typically $40–70). You might also consider community-based mental health centers, local training clinics where graduate-level therapists provide low-cost care under supervision, or peer support collectives that offer non-clinical emotional support on a donation basis.
Your mental health matters, and support should never be a luxury. If you're not sure where to begin, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to point you toward options that better fit your needs.
